Contemplative, cosy Caputh already allows you to forget the hectic day-to-day world. It is an atmosphere that provided the likes of Max Born, Gustav Bucky, Otto Hahn, Gerhart Hauptmann, Käthe Kollwitz, Max Liebermann, Heinrich Mann, Max Planck, Erwin Schrödinger, Anna Seghers, Chaim Waizmann, Arnold Zweig and Albert Einstein. Indeed, as soon as you leave the confines of the Brandenburg fishing village and enter the spacious grounds of elisabeth am see®, it clicks. The routine is gone. Suddenly there is no stress, no appointments, no noise, and no constraints. It is only you: your goals, your visions, your thoughts and your wishes to be fulfilled.
Exactly the space needed to find time for the most important thing in life: yourself. Space, which hardly exists today. Space you need to create yourself: somehow steal it, extract it, pry it loose. And even when you succeed, there are often only brief moments, which are suddenly over again before you have arrived. All the more important to allow the mainstream to melt away as you contemplate the expansive grounds, the orchards of Havelland on Lake Templin and in the distance the domed roof of the Nicolas Church in Potsdam. Click. Routine gone.
Welcome to Caputh.
A welcome sounds from the soft, bright tones of the small waves.
Welcome to a place where you can still smell the seasons and can intensely experience the time of day; a place where the weather is reflected in the mirror of Lake Havel.
Welcome to elisabeth am see®.
There are some magical places. This one can perform magic.
Experience it yourself. With every step towards Lake Templin you’ll forget a little bit more your daily life. You’ll arrive. Just you. Your thoughts. Your dreams. Your recovery. Enjoy the magic.
Discover more. And more.
In the centre of this magical environment is elisabeth am see®, a 180m² refuge with an integrated spa lounge for the exclusive use of our guests, a separate glassed pavilion on the bank and a terrace on Lake Templin, surrounded by a more than 1000m² garden. The architecture by Jörg Becker reveals the anatomy of the historical brick residence while nonetheless providing sufficient opportunities to retreat, so you can decide for yourself how much expanse and openness or centeredness and sanctuary you would like to experience.
